August Anderson, MD

Overview

August Anderson, MD grew up in Napa, California. He attended community college and then The College of William & Mary, where he majored in Biology and Hispanic Studies, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Between college and medical school, he volunteered with refugees and people displaced by conflict in California and Myanmar and worked in pediatric infectious disease and genetics research labs. He received an MD with distinction from the University of California, San Francisco, where he received yearlong funding to investigate neonatal HBV vaccination in Myanmar, and then completed an internal medicine internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in California, a county hospital serving a diverse patient population. He enjoys running, hiking, cooking, and is excited to explore the PNW. Clinical and research interests include palliative care, statistical analysis, and global oncology.
