New Department of Radiation Oncology Chair
Dr. Ramesh Rengan has been selected to serve as the Chair at the University of Washington School of Medicine (UWSOM) – Department of Radiation Oncology effective April 16, 2020. CEO and Dean of UW Medicine stated, “Dr. Rengan is very well qualified for this important leadership position, and he has presented an excellent plan to enhance the clinical, research and educational programs in the Department.”
Since December 2018, Dr. Rengan assumed the role of Interim Chair and we are extremely fortunate to continue to have him as our leader. He is currently the Medical Director of the SCCA Proton Therapy Center, Member of the Clinical Research Division at the Fred Hutch, and now will serve as our fourth Department Chair.
