Megan Pittaway Awarded 2019 UW Medicine Golden Eddy Award
Congratulations to Megan Pittaway, PA-C., Physician Assistant and Teaching Associate of Radiation Oncology, as one of the UW Medicine 2019 Golden Eddy’s Award recipients!
Each year, the Golden Eddy Awards recognize UW Medicine team members who demonstrate excellence in patient and family education. Megan is being recognized for her creation of educational materials on Myeloablative Total Body Irradiation and Non-Myeloablative Total Body Irradiation to help patients understand the possible side effects they may experience after undergoing TBI treatments. Megan’s materials provide consistent messaging to patients and also helps them better prepare for the experience of total body radiation therapy and stem cell transplant.
