What is Observation at UWMC Radiation Oncology:

Purpose: 

Our observation program caters to students and medical students who are interested in seeing the operations of our department for educational purposes.

What are we going to give you during your observation: 

Observers will accompany our faculty on their daily routine, and faculty will provide insight and commentary on their duties and their knowledge of radiation oncology.

What this observation program does not provide: 

We do not provide letters of recommendation or job opportunities. Meeting our faculty does not guarantee a reference of any sort. This observation opportunity is solely for educational purposes. As an observer, you are not providing any direct or indirect patient care, counseling or radiation planning. If you are interested in those opportunities, please refer to our clerkship or residency programs, their contact information is linked below:

Observation provides and opportunity to be in the clinic but not participating in patient care. This applies to undergraduate students or professionals from outside UW Medicine.
