Dr. Jing Zeng appointed as the new Associate Medical Director of SCCA Proton Therapy Center

Congratulations to Dr. Jing Zeng for her new role as the Associate Medical Director of SCCA Proton Therapy Center.

Dr. Zeng joined the UW Department of Radiation Oncology as an Assistant Professor in September 2012, and has charted an exemplary course for her career with several significant milestones to date.  She has authored or co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed research articles, several of which are focused on proton therapy.  She is the principle investigator of multiple clinical trials open at the proton center, including the PARTIQoL trial and the FLARE trial, funded by an NIH RO1 awarded to Dr. Stephen Bowen and Dr. Zeng.

From a departmental leadership perspective, she has served as the genitourinary disease proton lead since 2014 and chief of the thoracic service since January 2018. Due in part to these accomplishments and others, she was promoted early to the rank of Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology on July 1, 2017. From the opening of the SCCA proton center in 2013, Dr. Zeng has worked to build a strong clinical and research program in proton therapy. She has also engaged in outreach activities and worked to build the visibility of proton therapy in the Pacific Northwest, nationally, and internationally.

Dr. Zeng is accepting new patients at the UW Medical Center, and the SCCA Proton Therapy Center.   To make an appointment with Dr. Zeng, please click here.
